People power false alarm… but beware false president

And the dogs of the Palace begun their search. The Daily Tribune was raided and tried to be shut down. The same with the Malaya and tabloid Abante.
Last Saturday (February 25, the 20th anniversary of the first EDSA uprising), Crispin Beltran of Anakpawis partylist was arrested near his home in Bulacan. Operatives of the CIDG (Criminal Investigation and Detection Group) tried to capture Satur Ocampo of Bayan Muna and Rafael Mariano, another legislator from Anakpawis. There was a news that Liza Maza of Gabriela Women’s Party and Teodoro Casiño, also from Bayan Muna were on the list of those who will going to be arrested anytime.
Quasi-dictatorship, what the political scientists call the situation. And it is.
Writers/Journalists analyzed the content of the Proclamation No. 1017 of Ms. Arroyo and Proclamation 1081 of the former president Ferdinand Marcos. The analysis revealed: the two declarations were exactly the same although Ms. Arroyo’s was slightly edited by her ‘personal’ secretary.
Tonight, they have successfully pacified the Marines. Lucky for them.
But the situation is still volatile. Like a time bomb, it would blast anytime. Beware…
